Experience Builds Unique Solutions

Commitment to the New Zealand transport industry is something that Volvo Trucks has demonstrated over sixty years of operation. One of the major benefits we offer that can often fly under the radar is our manufacturing facility in Brisbane.  This gives the Volvo brand an advantage over other European brands in New Zealand – both in terms of specification and local expertise.  On-line customer modifications can be directly influenced by Kiwi engineers and designers who intimately understand the driving conditions that the trucks are destined for. Volvo trucks are not just built to be fit-for-purpose, they are fit-for-conditions, and fit-for-topography.  More than engineering excellence – we also commit to strong after-sales support backed by a trusted team. Meet Carl Capstick

Meet Carl Capstick, Sales Account Manager Auckland Northland

Carl embodies MTD’s commitment to the New Zealand market. Carl is now dealing with the second generation of some of his longest standing customers. “I’ve always said that you can’t judge a truck’s worth on day one.  A Volvo might be the most expensive truck you’ll ever buy, but it’ll pay you back in lifecycle costs: it’s cheaper to run, more efficient and holds its residual value with one million kilometres on the clock.  You’ve got to look at price from the perspective of whole-of-life cost.”
