Royal treatment for Fonterra’s new electric truck

A royal visit by the Crown Princess and Prince of Sweden to the site of Tetra Pak’s recycling partner, saveBOARD, turned into an opportunity for Rob Woods, GM for Volvo Trucks NZ and Michael Doeg, GM Sime Darby Commercial Sales NZ to share news about the recently launched Volvo FLE.

The light duty electric unit, manufactured by the Swedish global truck brand, is currently being put through its paces in Fonterra livery, delivering products to FMCG customers in the Auckland area.  A great sustainability story to complement the Swedish Royals’ recent tour of the saveBOARD site in Te Rapa, that contributes to a strong circular economy by converting used beverage cartons into low carbon building materials.
