Instruments. Gearshift. Controls. Storage. In the Volvo FL, everything you need is exactly where you need it – and within easy reach, too. It means fewer movements. Less stretch and strain. So your hands spend more time on the wheel and your eyes don’t leave the road.
You’ll sit perfectly in the ergonomic Volvo FL seats, with solid anchoring, integrated head restraint and seat belt. The upholstery material provides excellent resistance to dirt. Both the driver’s and the passenger seats can be adjusted to suit different needs.
Choose between three cab sizes: the day cab, the short sleeper cab or the crew cab – all depending on your need for loading space or number of passengers. The width is 2100 mm while the length varies from 1600 mm to 2980 mm.
In the dashboard. In the doors. Above your head. Between the seats. Look around the Volvo FL cab and you’ll see an abundance of storage space. You can add even more, too.
The steering wheel can be adjusted to your favoured position and has a diameter of 460 or 500 millimetres.
The Volvo FL audio system includes RDS radio, USB connection, Bluetooth for streaming music and phone connectivity. And you can control it easily with the integrated controls.
Dashboard switches on the Volvo FL 4x4 let you control the driven front axle and rear axle differential locks. You can also operate the low gear and differential lock on the transfer gearbox.
To ensure a smooth ride, your Volvo FL cab has a suspension that consists of rubber cushions in the front. The rear is suspended by a combination of coil springs and shock absorbers. This minimizes the vertical movements.
Maximum sound isolation means that you’ll be driving in a relaxed environment with minimum noise from the engine and tyres.
Look around the cab and you will find an abundance of space to store your items. Storage compartments in the dashboard. In the doors. Above your head. Between the seats.
A steel or glass roof hatch is available. Manually or electrically controlled.
A climate unit keeps the cab temperature at the right level – with or without the use of air conditioning.
